After taking unauthorized leave to stay in his native Argentina, Carlos Tevez is back to training in England and intends to rejoin the team he once captained. The question remains whether his return would disrupt the team atmosphere, since dispute between talented striker and coach Mancini has dragged on for more than three months after UEFA Champions League loss to Bayern Munich last September. It appears that City management and players are expecting an apology from the Argentine before they welcome him back into the fold.
Asked about imminent return of Tevez, Manchester City star Yaya Toure said he wouldn’t mind having another dangerous attacker on his team, but indicated that fences would need to be mended: “For me, it is not a problem,” said Toure “He knows what he has to say to the boss and to the rest of the players. I think all the players will be happy if Carlos comes back.”
Carlos Tevez has previously asked for a transfer to AC Milan, Inter Milan or Paris Saint Germaine, but none of the teams were ready to meet high compensation required by Manchester City. Faced with an impasse, the player seems to be better off finding common grounds with Mancini and joining the team for the title race.
