Rumours linking Celtic defensive player Emilio Izaguirre with a move to Man utd appear to be wide from the mark.
The Scottish Sunlight today reported comments from the Honduras international that appear to indicate which Sir Alex Ferguson is interested within taking him in order to Old Trafford.
In the post, Izaguirre is quoted because saying that Ferguson had setup a meeting with Celtic within July to discuss the move to Old Trafford; nevertheless, after a bit of investigator work from the web site Celtic Talk it appears just about all is not as it seems.
Celtic Speak says that estimates attributed to Izaguirre have been obtained from an interview the player do this week with Honduras paper El Heraldo. In it Izaguirre says he was the subject of curiosity from United, however in January of this 12 months and his remarks appear to have been taken out of framework. United’s interest in the Celtic participant apparently ended whenever Patrice Evra signed a new agreement at Old Trafford captured.
Izaguirre is quoted through El Heraldo as saying “I ‘m calm in Scotland as well as my agent is the main one working on it simply because I want to fulfill my personal contract until the end along with Celtic, if nothing arrives.”
In other words if Celtic obtain an offer big enough they may part with Izaguirre, although that seems distant after Evra signed their new deal.
