England or Germany... That's the question
Following his release from Watford, Jay DeMerit has been actively seeking a club to play for and now he has two clubs fighting for his signature.
Everton manager David Moyes has said that Everton are looking to capture the USA international and bring him into the Premiership while they face stiff competition from German side Wolfsburg.
Steve McLaren who is the manager at Wolfsburg has also show interest in the defender and is looking to offer DeMerit the chance to try out a new challenge in a completely new league.
The reason that Wolfsburg are so keen to draft in the defender is due to their poor defensive record, losing three of their opening games in the league and conceding eight goals in the process.
This could be a deal breaker for the American as he will surely look to sign for the strongest club in order to continue to stake his claim for a place within his national side and with the Premier League considered to be the best league in the world, Everton have a lot going for them in their favour.
DeMerit has not shown his hand just yet and seems to be playing his cards close to his chest but with the player previously issuing a come and get me plea to Premiership clubs, you have to think that the player will soon be heading to the blue side of Liverpool.
