Although Arsene Wenger is considered to be one of the biggest moaners in the professional football manager game, you have to take your hat off to him for the amount of talent and ability he is able to bring into the Arsenal team.
The frenchman has been with the club for a number of years and has also managed to steer the team to wins within a number of English based cups during his time at the club but they are still to make an impact on the Premier League by competing with the likes of Manchester United and Chelsea on a regular basis.
Performances at the club have been strong but there has never really been a huge push for the top spot within the Premiership over recent years, with the Manchester United and Chelsea dominating the proceedings of the last few years.
Some magical footballers have passed through the club and that can be credited to Mr Wenger, just look at Barcelona striker Thierry Henry. Wenger bought the player from Juventus a number of years ago as a winger and successfully converted the player into one of the most prolific strikers in the English game.
Preferring a team based on youth and ability than to experience, Arsenal carry the title of having the youngest average age within their first team but the club have been critisised for their lack of home grown talent, Wenger preferring to buy feign than look closer to home.
The manager has had his own fair share of problems before the season started, with club captain Cesc Fabregas indicating that he wants to return to Spain to play for Barcelona, something that Barcelona were only too happy to try make happen.
The Arsenal manager managed to talk Fabregas into staying with the club and this week has defended the Spanish midfielder from the media and fans who are claiming that the player simply has no love for the club anymore.
Wenger is expected to become active within the transfer market in January as the club seeks a replacement for their captain after increasing pressure from both the player and Barcelona to allow Fabregas to return home.
