Gus Malzahn moving off to Arkansas State

The 46 year old Gus Malzahn is set to become Arkansas State‘s new Head Coach and it has been just confirmed by ASU.

Arkansas born Gus Malzahn is considered to be one of the top coaches in the industry and it became as a shock to all fans to why he would want a job in the Sun Belt?

Gus Malzahn has spent considerably a long time in Arkansas State building his career and it is also his hometown which draws a clear picture why he choose Arkansas State to be his new venture.

Malzahn was also named for other teams such as North Carolina, Vanderbilt and few others but his positive approach towards Arkansas State University has stuck many questions in people’s mind as to why he would move on to a smaller team.

Ted Roof who was the defensive coordinator at Auburn has also left to move on to Central Florida just a week back so that is 2 important changes in Auburn.

Gus Malzahn is willing to take a large pay cut and it makes one wonder why he would make this move as he could of easily made a move to a better team if he was to hold on to his position in Auburn for another year.
